YOUR WORDSA Poem by Manyapeople say so much...….You might think that I don't listen, but each word, each letter haunts me with a cacophony as painful as a screech of nails on chalkboard, which leaves me shivering in self doubt Your words are like hot candle wax which burn immediately the skin underneath and leave scars that penetrate deeper than my darkened skin. Each word is like a firearm without license, you fire wherever you want whenever you want. When I feel like crying ,I console myself by believing what you say and shaping my thoughts around yours If I cry I am sensitive, I am oblivious of reality, I am complaining. But without those words which you think I don't listen to I am happy, I do not worry about not worrying and I do not have to go purchasing band-aids for the bullet holes that you embedd in me. You call it lack of morale but it is actually lack of courage to stand up against someone I admired, which makes your words seem like an incessant stab on the same vulnerable spot. You said what you wanted It darkened my skin, made my body quiver and made me unsure about wanting to be me I am hurt but I wont tell you
for it might hurt you. © 2019 ManyaFeatured Review
