Hoodwinker

Hoodwinker

A Poem by Manu
"

I

"
When I am alone , I am not real
Or perhaps , it's in the crowd
Where I have a facade on my face
A pretense of being a part of the race

Maybe now it's not possible to turn
To start living again , away from fantasy
When every thought is blinded by transient ecstasy ,
To learn and grow , to breathe and run.

Like the autumn tree , all my leaves
lie fallen on the ground
The difference being , for her it's a phase
But I'm lost in the maze

Is it that hard to be true ?
At least to my own self
Amidst all escape and blue
I find myself shrinking to an elf.

The inability of execution of dreams
Of ideas and plans never seeing the light of day.
All of this lies messed up in hay ,
As I forage back to my world with dismay.
