This poem showcases all those things that make India beautiful- natural vegetation, wildlife, and the people. Though following different cultures and religious, they live together as a family.

Beautiful Bharat

Bharat also called as India and Hindustan,
Is surrounded by Arabian sea, Indian ocean and Bay of Bengal.
Ruled by numerous kings, Bharat is called the mother of history,
Delhi is the capital of the country.

India is beautiful because of it's rich and varied heritage,
Every state has it's historic place.
Qutuab Minar, Taj mahal, Fatehpur Sikhri are the examples to name a few,
There are many more in the queue.

Adorned with variety of flowers, plants and trees,
Found In India are 8 rare wild animal species,
This is what makes India beautiful and unique.

Known for different festivals and practices,
After every 100 kilometres language, food and dress changes.
Though divided in 29 states,
Beautiful it is as Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi are good mates.
People follow different religions like Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism,
Still people live together in harmony as we all are brothers and sisters.

Festivals like Christmas, Dusshera, Diwali and Holi,
Are celebrated throughout India by everybody.
Famous for dances like Bharatnatam, Kathak and Kuchipudi,
Flows through India are numerous rivers like Ganga, Krishna, Godavri and Kaveri.

India is beautiful because of the ocean and the rivers,
More beautiful they appear in the winters.
Indians care for the Nation, as we all are God's beautiful creation.

It's beauty cannot't be described by anybody,
But to know how beautiful India is,
You should have a visit.

Well yeah! India looks beautiful when mountains are adorned with layers of snow, grasslands are full of greenary, specially at night, dal lake in Jammu and Kashmir looks beautiful. India is a place to visit.

Wow, interesting poem and very informative. I learned a lot by reading it and I agree, I should visit! I've always wanted to go but the only place that I've ever been to out of the states is Canada. Your poem has definitely inspired me to try something new and travel somewhere that I haven't been to yet.
