I love doing the acrostic form. I used to use text effects (bold) to make it clear that the first letters spell out something, but someone advised me not to recently . . . I now feel it's better to just let the message flow naturally, without this interruption in attention. In your case, it takes a couple readings to really grasp this message, becuz of the way the spacing interrupts the read.

As for the message itself, very original . . . sent me to the dictionary for "calliope" which is a great sensory word for a poem, and we can almost hear this sound thru your words. I think "Narragansett Bay" and "Conanicut Island" might not be as expressive to people who don't know these places . . . maybe it would be good to add a bit more description, so we can see or feel or hear or smell what these locations mean to you!?!?!
