I WALK TO THE BEAT OF THE RAIN

I WALK TO THE BEAT OF THE RAIN

A Poem by Sonia Walker

A rainy spring day does not dampen my spirit
as I walk to the beat of the rain,
my feet feel the rhythm of the raindrops with each step,
I am part of the rainy day  parade  of marchers
who are crowned with  colorful umbrellas which bob
along the moist and busy city sidewalks.

As the summer temps reach 100* all week, I'm still longing for a bit more of this wet stuff, here in draught-stricken California! I clicked on your poem becuz the title is beckoning & the message doesn't disappoint. I used to love walking in the rain . . . back when we had some on a regular basis! Love the colorful bobbing umbrellas especially! *smile*
