SUMMER SOUNDSA Poem by Sonia Walker
Sounds of children laughing,
chasing balls and happy running, waves dancing on the shore, tempting little feet to jump with joy, while bold sand castles stand victoriously, until they are swept away by the sea, blankets spread on golden beaches, holding sun bathers caressed by summer music, who are grasping minute thoughts of yesterday, of nameless faces of old friends, and songs they sang together, all part of summer sounds long ago.
