Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by Paul Aleman
"

The magic of December

"

Let me remember

one star in the night.

Sacred December

should I lose my sight.

Let me hear song birds,

let angels appear.

Let birds of love sing,

should I fail to hear.

Let me feel velvet,

a blue cotton wheel.

White ice cold rivets

should I fail to feel.

Let happiness grow,

souls that are barren.

Smile, no more sorrow-

Infinite Heaven.

Very nice and the rhyme is spot on. I am a rhyme man, but most here don't care for rhyming poems. Not sure why but I don't care either. I write like I write. You have a knack for rhyming...keep it up.

Like the way you composed your poem (like me feel, like me hear.. should I lose, should I fail)
This is rhyme with a content! Nice!

we have to look to see what is there, often we don't.

not a fan of rhyme, but i like the naturalness of yours...

and the concise lines move this along at a really nice, sharp pace.

Its a sweet poem which conveys to me a lot of meaning. There really are so many places where we can find happiness and yet we fail to find it...! This poem tells to me that happiness lies in the smallest of things...and it is in little things that happiness should be!!
I loved the poem!
