Imaginary CityA Poem by luceraThis is about the feeling you get when you get deep into a book.White tones dance back and forth beneath hands And elegant black dances under fingers As sweeping winds blow into beautiful lands Yet back towards home our eyes don’t linger We know better than to feel afraid; The sweet and familiar smells Put us at total ease each and every day And shows this land to be nothing but well With bright colors and pleasant people, With things we can’t find back at home Like the castle-high stone steeple That makes me glad to be alone This beautiful place makes us feel bound To it, with it’s smooth pale trees And incredible discoveries yet to be found; Abnormal but healthy inky seas Able to carry us to far off places On waves of intricately woven words; Lands allowing us to imagine but never see faces Through our journey in these impossible spaces But some time, we must return. We must take a breath and come home. But each day, we realized we have learned Something no one else could have dreamed of. © 2017 luceraAuthor's Note
