Love At Dawn

Love At Dawn

A Poem by Manda

You know me better than anyone,
Inside and out, you can tell
Even when I don't know it myself,
You always seem to know

I remember it like yesterday,
At 4 am and winky faces,
I threw on a sweater and skipped outside,
Butterflies now gone

You looked at me sweetly,
As if you hadn't seen me in years
Those deep brown pools,
Looking into my robin's eggs

With guitar chords echoing,
I began to understand devotion
Everlasting love in my heart,
The pieces starting to mend

You'll never know exactly,
No matter how hard I try
But you saved my life that day
When you told me you wanted me

My heart still jumps when we touch,
When we kiss I almost melt
I finally know what it means to be happy
And it's all because of you, sweetheart

This is so sensual and sweet... filled with the shades of dark clouds and silver linings... Reminded me of the pure joy of being in love... the dance that melts away the burdens of the world and leaves your feet ever moving... So beautifully shared... you're blessed beyond measure. :)

Beautiful poetry exuding your emotions of the heart. A happiness in Love will make one write a beautiful poem, as such. Wonderfully expressed.

Awww that is so sweet (reinforced by the last line). What I most enjoyed about this was how it seemed real, like I could actually imagine it happening, it wasn't all cheesy or corny. It was real. I enjoyed it so much because of that.
