Love At DawnA Poem by Manda
You know me better than anyone,
Inside and out, you can tell Even when I don't know it myself, You always seem to know I remember it like yesterday, At 4 am and winky faces, I threw on a sweater and skipped outside, Butterflies now gone You looked at me sweetly, As if you hadn't seen me in years Those deep brown pools, Looking into my robin's eggs With guitar chords echoing, I began to understand devotion Everlasting love in my heart, The pieces starting to mend You'll never know exactly, No matter how hard I try But you saved my life that day When you told me you wanted me My heart still jumps when we touch, When we kiss I almost melt I finally know what it means to be happy And it's all because of you, sweetheart
