... just going to show you can have a lot of fun with poetry if you don't take it and you too seriously ... why did i even write this? ... just swagger for the sake of swagger.

i’m a horsefly, baby

 

i ride bareback

 

my cousin johnnie, she rides a swayback

 

who used to be a filly at the aqueduct track

 

but now pulls a wagon, all broke down in the back

 

at least she’s not like the old gelding blue

 

her brother who  used to run at aqueduct too

 

but he lost so many races and only won a few

i even rode blue bareback before he came up glue

 

my cousin johnnie’s never seen a fancy tack

 

the best she can do is a rubber tired hack

 

behind some poor loser just retired from the track

 

while I ride on winners with the wind to my back
