SLEEPING UNDER A TREEA Poem by manchilld99another way to be a fool ...The sun shone brightly to awaken and deliver me from unconsciousness. Bright blue skies reflecting the light of day had replaced the dark moonlit azure a perfect backdrop to last night’s starry path to heaven, a path untried. I was alive. and impatient not yet grateful just now realizing a half-fallen tree on my roof my bumper half-buried in its trunk a half-finished fifth of vodka on the floor a Jaws Of Life called to rescue a fool found sleeping under a tree. © 2010 manchilld99Reviews
