HIM TO ME

HIM TO ME

A Poem by manchilld99
"

"Poets, writers and everybody with a flourish in their pen or the nerve to step to the mic are all talkin' 'bout their 'swag' as if talking about it makes it real. But you know what? ..."

"

See, I had mine
if I never have no more
and gettin' just to get
has become such a bore.

And pretending to like it
like an eager w***e
just don't get it,
I mean, forget it.

It cost dues, and a lotta blues
to get to this place
In the thick of the race
where I could win, maybe won't,
and won't care if I don't.

Well past all illusions
and grandiose delusions
Only mine are the conclusions
that matter.

And you play-play playas
and bling-bling displayas
who keep on spittin'
this chatter,

You know what you be?
I mean, can't you see?
You remind me of someone
before HE became ME.

"You know what you be?

This is my favorite stanza. This was such a well orchestrated piece; I can't begin to tell you how good this was! Such flow in the words, and deep meaning...
