Lucifer angrily stood from his trance-like state, angered by Lucy’s unceasing telepathic calls. Lucy had been his partner for millions of years, and there had been a time when they both were full of love, bubbling over with joy. Lucifer had assumed Lucy would join his group of castaways when he gave the announcement. At first he was saddened by her choice not to follow him, but then he forced himself to forget about her, coming to the conclusion that love was a futile emotion that deserved no more of his time or attention. "What do you want?" he seethed telepathically, finally giving in to her calls.

"Lucifer, why have you been ignoring me? I desperately want to talk to you," she pleaded.

"Fine. We’ll meet at the free point," he offered, heaving a perturbed sigh.

"I’ll be there."

Lucifer snickered to himself as a nasty little plan formed in his mind.

A while later, the dark lord landed among the tress of free point. The tall trees were arranged in rows and branched out into a canopy of orange leaves near the top of the long, pole-like trunks. Some leaves gently floated to the ground, making for a peaceful, picturesque scene.

White rays of light pierced through cracks in the branches, and Lucifer walked through free point, crunching leaves and twigs under his feet. He touched the trees as he walked by them and with every touch, more leaves fell, withering into black, dry ash before they hit the ground. He enjoyed sucking life out of everything around him and fantasized that the twigs and leaves he were crushing beneath the weight of his step were the bones of his enemies. Lucifer finally came to the end of the expanse of tress, on top of a red canyon. He looked down at the colorful houses belonging to the gods, which appeared small from his elevated position. Each house had its own individuality and had been built according to the taste of each god. Soon"very soon"I will control all of this, Lucifer thought to himself. Soon, I will control all of them, whether they like it or not!

Lucy dropped down out of the sky a few moments later. The brunette with a small button-like nose and pretty ocean-blue eyes walked toward Lucifer, her longtime companion. The sides of her nose flared up as her facials muscles were pulled into a smile. "I’m so happy to see you, even in that grotesque form," she said, pointing out Lucifer’s devilish appearance.

"Why did you refuse to follow me like all those other numb-skulls?" demanded Lucifer in a throaty voice, refusing any pleasantries or proper greetings.

"I do not like those feelings you’ve created. I feel so much pain now, and every time I think about you, it grows worse. Come back to me, Lucifer. We can figure it out together," she said, longing for Lucifer’s company.

"Back to you?" He laughed, mocking her. "Lucy, these feelings are part of the new revolution, the new world. How dare you mock my creation?" he said angrily.

"I’m sorry, Lucifer, but I cannot succumb to all your wishes. I am my own god. I love you though. I do not care about the changes in you. I still want to be with you," said Lucy, still love’s prisoner.

In return for her compliments and declarations of love for him, Lucifer offered Lucy an open-handed smack, making a loud slapping sound across her face.

Shocked and hurt, both inside and out, Lucy cried out in pain and held her right cheek.

Lucifer lifted her up and threw her against a thick tree. As he pushed her painfully into the bark of the trunk, he rudely pressed his crusty lips against her soft, supple ones. He forced her lips open and stuck his long, forked tongue into her mouth. In the heat of the moment, he ripped off her dress, as crimson as his own skin. He roughly bit her lips with his sharp, pointed sharp teeth, drawing blood.

"STOP!" screamed Lucy in pain.

Ignoring her pleas, Lucifer bit every part of her body he could wrap his teeth around, as if she were a piece of meat for a hungry dog.

In the midst of excruciating pain and heartbreak, Lucy pushed Lucifer away from her. "What have you become?" said Lucy.

Her attempt to put distance between them, coupled with her accusing tone, only angered Lucifer more. He put his hands around her neck and started throttling the life out of her. He licked her face mockingly as she struggled to breathe.
