The DealA Poem by Alisha Heistand
So, you miss me again
Interesting. I know your true yearning: The attention The affection You think I'm still yours. Newsflash: I belong to no one. And so comes the power Of the deal. Arrange a meeting to give you what you crave The kisses The hugs And what's this you find as your hand brushes my hip? A scar. A scar you caused. You never hurt me physically, no Emotionally you left me battered and helpless. You ask about your findings Like you give a Damn Looks like the deal didn't go as you've planned. And in my head a war is raging... A part of me trying to claw it's way out to yell and show the anger and disgust at the person you've become And yet another part Quietly begging to stay silent, fearing you'll tell someone Live in fear or speak my mind? The choice is clear; I've always been a pipe bomb. I await the day the deal is closed I await the moment you find the scar And so this is the outcome Of The Deal. © 2014 Alisha HeistandReviews
