Being RepairedA Poem by Alisha Heistand
You.
You who made the trouble, the heartache You who made the darkness and let it consume me Leave. Don't drag me back into your false admiration I know what you wanted, what you desired Go, find it someplace else. And as for you, Blue Eyes You make me feel special again. My empty chest feels weighted But that can't be, there's nothing there. Nothing's left after what he did... Yet when I look within, what's this I see? Could it be? It is the broken pieces of the heart that belongs to me How...how have you done this? What's this pulling I feel... My heart it's....... Mending. Now when I talk to you, breath leaves me And light consumes you as it shines on me Cold becomes warm Dark becomes light I am being repaired... But am I even sure? Yes.
