The Ashes Scream For Beauty

The Ashes Scream For Beauty

A Poem by Antoinette

It gets hard to open my arms; to smile like I'm fine.

The purpose that drove me forth retires now.

I must find ground that I can walk around on carefree and happily.

I can't count the seconds fleeting no mercy for this troubled life.

I'm screaming because I couldn't stand a life with forged beauty for the cause, with nothing right.

I can't keep crying, can't keep up with sleepless nights, can't watch my world decaying as I stand by.

I know that something will start, that the days will begin afresh and this relentless pain will cease to be.

I know through these dark halls light will wake, and when it wakes it will shine on me.
