Two Young Men

Two Young Men

A Poem by phillius
"

This is my style of poetry once again about two of my friends. It also has taken a stance in showing that society in its present form does not help yet strangles those who wish to aspire to more.

"
Two men had told me life is what you make it to be. The only thing is both were younger than me, living by the same ideology just to live free. Looking around at society the miserable faces looking through me so scornfully as i finally break the fourth wall to true creativity. Now as i look up at the board to this broken system telling me where to go showing the direction the real challenge now is what turning at what intersection. No longer am i going to be held by the bounds constricted and misconstrued. For now is the time for me to live. I am at the oldest age of 21 finally i can start to have some fun. Now as these days go by i am only going to get younger for as the two wise men told me life is what you make it. Time is yours to control and also remember you don't know man. You just don't know. Time for me to go on this trip my first turn down Ricky lane. Followed by the alley into Steph drive as i step my feet onto the grass here i am *Inhale* ALIVE!

This is not your classical style of poetry. It is my own style and has a certain flow. If only you could hear me read it allowed it is something that cannot truly be read.
