Fallen Image

But an insufficient muse,

a vexing veil,

possibly meant by the Divine

to dress His creation,

to prepare the beholder

for what He ordained beneath,

radiance barely contained,

in all,

And realized in truth,

by those for  this truth

destined.

However,

the veil is now stretched,

pierced by protrusions of a barbed cage,

darkness barely contained,

seen to none and known the same,

born for deceit,

a beast

prowling,

devouring those foolish

enough to pursue truth.
