Once ground in, yet now this time I am finaly in the sun of it all

Once ground in, yet now this time I am finaly in the sun of it all

A Poem by Malbert

Once, my soul was planted
Buried from the sun
Tears shed and dried
Thoughts on paper, I had become

Ground, doesn't look too comfortable
Must be good enough
Settle into silence
Return this leaf to dust

In, the dark

I am losing
The ghost of wind
When I used to run

Yet now this, so cold and still
Cannot even crawl
Watching things grow slowly
On top this dirty sod

Time, delivers a believer
Humble to the core
Made to watch the growth
All this turns into one

I am, moving
Still
Never more
Planted soul somehow, taken silent hold

Finaly, it rained
the wind
The sun
I can at last, stand perfectly bold

In, eternity
Leaves
Reappear
Transformed

The sun of it all
Why
How and who
Made me humbly seek out, worthless mortal truths

I like this imagery and the use of plant life as a metaphor....I also appreciate poems that use rhyming schemes (I am accused of using the same type of rhyming style often, but Then again, that comes from writers that prefer free flow verse)...Effective, simple, and full of honest meaning, I thoroughly enjoyed this piece!
