Fallen In Love

Fallen In Love

A Poem by maktub
"

Take the chance...it's worth it...

"

Passing a deep pit,
Fear crept up spines,
As gazes fell down,
And plunged into it.

What could this be?
- Woman near bottom -
Why was she silent?
Why not escaping?

Clutched in her hands -
Holding tight a light…
Rewarding her sacrifice
for taking mere chance.

Vowing to offer all,
Face and fight anything,
If only to see and feel,
This rare and real fall.

Most think her blind,
Until they realize that,
You, not her, are them
Who are void inside.

Living her life within
That happily lit world,
But you stumble through
A tunnel of isolation.

Grasping the moment
Pledging her heart -
You are too fearful,
To embrace this gift.

So continue running,
Fleeing, never feeling.
She is me, who chose to
Stop fighting the falling.

Your sight rests upon
This form curled below -
Smiling and content,
Who has fallen in love.

Things happen for a reason, and regardless of what that reason is, those things are not always good, but nor are they always bad...and oftentimes the unanswered prayers are the greatest blessings, and.. more..
