Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

A Poem by maktub

Yesterday, a tree lost a leaf;
Word dropped a letter;
A cloud a raindrop;
The night a star;
Head a hair;
Me – you.
But today, the roots didn't die;
The meaning was not lost-
Tears kept them alive;
Moon will yet shine,
Though I ache
Inside.
And tomorrow, sun must rise;
Perhaps I will not cry,
Because he is gone-
Refuse to feel he
Is still none
but mine.
