Anitra's Dance

Anitra's Dance

A Poem by maktub
"

Wrote this while listening to Anitra's Dance by Edvard Grieg....one of my favorite pieces....

"

Pretty petite
Twirling ‘round -
Anitra’s feet spiraling...

Whirl
Of
Wind
Spins.

Silk slippers
Kissing ground –
Anitra’s feet faster...

Agile
Maiden
Stirs
From
Stillness.

Legs tiny...
Graceful sound –
Anitra’s feet flying...

Curving
Limbs
With
Their
Lithe
Motions.

Bending low
Wafting waist –
Anitra’s feet slow...

Graceful
Slope
Curves
To
Her
Leisurely
Lope.

Final glance,
Changing pace –
Anitra pauses dance...

Halting
Her
Pursuit -
Lull
In
Simply
Stepped
Song.

About
Things happen for a reason, and regardless of what that reason is, those things are not always good, but nor are they always bad...and oftentimes the unanswered prayers are the greatest blessings, and.. more..
