Change, Alteration, Mutilation, Transformation, Modification...Universal?

Change, Alteration, Mutilation, Transformation, Modification...Universal?

A Poem by maktub

A thoughtful little ditty I scribble at this precise moment…
- Let it linger and do a dancing step inside your head -
This private puppet of my reeling pencil’s movement.

Perhaps similar to the wind writing across the world’s surface
- As it darts amongst lives, existence, and nature -
Molding and shaping the beautiful blue expanse of earth.

Enjoy it, appreciate clock’s passing gift of action and observance
- Whether roses swayed in breeze or person at a corner in need –
Seize each instance available of joy, breath, beauty, and service.

Choices are made that plan who we will be –
Tomorrow must rise, and leave yesterday behind…
Then you shall know if you like the reflection of yourself seen.

However, ultimately, it may not matter a solitary wit,
Whether you have discovered satisfaction's seed or not,
Because the foundation is cast – once created, arduous to undo it.

Please, excuse what may seem pessimistically inclined assertions,
I cannot excuse the admonition of observation and experience –
That habits once formed and saved, are difficult deletions.

Moreover, what is life, but a series and mini-series of habits?
All decisions are such – once chosen, so inclined to choose again.
Wrong/right: works/fails – only comfort and convenience bear relevance.

Then what induces change? Prying open our lives to life?
NECESSITY – merely that when all other turns appear blocked,
we then choose the road leading towards the construction line.

So, resent being forced through another tunnel of mutilations,
But all that banging and hammering, perhaps it will wake you up;
Bringing to light that the entire universe is composed of transformations.

Things happen for a reason, and regardless of what that reason is, those things are not always good, but nor are they always bad...and oftentimes the unanswered prayers are the greatest blessings, and.. more..
