I Felt

I Felt

A Poem by maktub
"

Anger. Hate. Spite. Justice...again.

"

I felt it well up inside of me;
I felt the swelling wave
of all that's made me see
that you are the cause of pain.

I felt this insanity seeping;
I felt it creep across my skin;
this birthing of a being
that rebels deep within.

Spite me, chain me to your ideals;
leave me starving at your disregarded altar,
craving a mere aroma of something real.

I felt myself leaving you;
I felt the keenest satisfaction
knowing there's nothing you can do -
that your only option is inaction.

I felt no streams down my cheek;
I felt no hot pity falling;
my life without you the freedom I seek...
we are not resolving, but us dissolving.

Master me physically, shackle my ankles and wrists;
lock me in your cellar suffocating...keys will come,
and I'll be gone - *poof* with no goodbye kiss.

Author's Note

maktub
"To all those "people" who want to mold and meld me into their picture perfect ideas.
I abhor it...and I will be beyond its reach...soon."

"So, this is my dedication to you, in case your prying eyes ever make it to here...In case they don't, I'll find a more conspicuous place, like my journal, or my private notes, or possibly my email box, tp place it in."

Yes, direct quite from the time when I first wrote this...I posted it so that it could be read. Betrayal, losing trust - it is hard.

Things happen for a reason, and regardless of what that reason is, those things are not always good, but nor are they always bad...and oftentimes the unanswered prayers are the greatest blessings, and.. more..
