Night ThoughtsA Poem by M. A. KilcorseThe problems we can't face in the daylight, become the thoughts that haunt us at night. But why do I scoff when the sun has hid Away behind the line of Oaks? Do I tremble? Do I quake? Do I cry thrash scream and dream When the sun has hid away?
Is it the light to Caress my skin; Each piece of glowing dust To set fire to my sin.
No. It is fear. Fear that I will always be alone; Trapped by my broken thoughts And flawed perception.
That is why I scoff When the sun has hid. For all my complaints, I dare not laugh when She's awake. © 2013 M. A. KilcorseAuthor's Note

To see non-physical ideas take life in the form of places and people is the magic and mystery of creative writing. more..Writing
