One Month Of The YearA Poem by Eric Makia poem i wrote for how everyone changes who they are and become more charitable when it comes to that time of the year for holidaysOne month of the year Most people don't live in fear Have no place for hate or greed Only feel the great need To help the homeless and the poor Buy them food and clothes that they can't afford Dressing up and giving out toys like Santa Claus Thinking they are helping out the cause But after the birth of their Savior and the New Year They all go back to living in fear Over things they see and hear Dissing the homeless living on the streets Not even thinking of giving them something to eat Laughing at the poor using food stamps Thinking that they are Welfare tramps Saying useless bums Turning our cities into slums The damn poor That our taxes are paying for Why donate anything? All ready gave them lots of things That one holy month of the year That we all hold dear
