Run AwayA Poem by makaylarayne10idk
Sometimes it feels like I'm fading.
He doesn't see me, as I fade into the colorful hallways I walk, a ghost of happiness, a banshee of mourning. And each night I look out, look out to see the stars, as if they can remind me why I go on. But instead I see the murky green the night sky washed out by city lights. But these city lights have grown too bright for sensitive eyes. And what's left when you darken even the darkest black? Me. So as I stare at nothing, no point to life, I take death's instrument, wield it in my hand. I whisper Death's true name, known only in the last breath, a beckoning. And as he appeared, I greeted him as my savior, such an old friend whose door I always knocked on. And thus I faded away permanently, into the endless city lights that always seemed to stretch on... Endlessly on... © 2010 makaylarayne10 |
