As I walk ahead

This poem is about change. The change we see in people who have been our closest allies. The change in their warmth which disappears due to time, events, distance.

As I walk ahead in the known

I run into unknown

the same streets, now stranger than ever

the same turns, now sharper than ever.

I try to find solace in the known

only to be captured by the noise of the unknown.

the same faces, now colder than ever

the same eyes, now farther than ever.
