Another UndecidedA Poem by Maili Jane KeeHelpless to its very last definition Do I find myself swallowed Bound in chains quite torturous From your hand created, Incapacitated by my blindness Do I finally see your face, Intentions clear do I realize The nature of my heart And yours, Weak in every sense of itself Do I become silent and afraid Captured in the very thought of you The wit and humor that collapsed me Burning all my foolish hope Tearing into me like an animal And betraying my innocence, Alone without a sound for relief Do I lay on the ground Exposed by my tears For the fool that I had become Taken by an idea of beauty Do I lay in the cold regretting Tangled in a mess too common Had And forgotten. © 2013 Maili Jane KeeAuthor's Note
