Jealousy

Jealousy

A Poem by Rae

I'm scared that
the pit in my stomach
is where I live

and that one day
you'll live there
too.

You are as beautiful
and spirited
as the fawn
I see when I'm happy.

I'm as dark
as my stomach linings.

I'm scared that
the pit in my stomach
is where I live

and that one day
you'll live
somewhere new.
