I Am Dating My Happiness

I Am Dating My Happiness

A Poem by Rae

Things are okay
And I am okay
And that is okay.

I went to school this morning,
walking towards artificial warmth,
surrounded by dark fog
and lights protruding that fog
and I felt the most peculiar sense
of loving the air that I breathe.
The taste was my new happy drug
and the sights were my knight in shining armor,

and I was content being nothing but
the girl with a rebirth of fascinated eyes

the girl you never knew.

Reminds me of being comfortable in your own skin , being comfortable in your own thoughts , and just being comfortable being you in a world that's scared of people being individuals. That's what it made me think at least. Very cool
