WILL YOU MARRY MEA Poem by MAH MEKOLLEThis is a poem reflecting love that led to marriage, then the usual trials, hurt, darkness that are bound to set in after years, the realization of self, and renewing of a commitment, redemption.
Will You Marry Me
She cant believe he's asking her to marry him again "We're already married"she said He looked at her, all the love pouring from his soul his beautiful eyes a window to his heart "I know we are married" he said, "but I messed up. Will you forgive me, take me back as your man? I want to love you again like I've never loved you before, I want you to forgive me and take me again as your husband" She stares at him on his knees, it takes her back 7 years ago, on that rainy night, when he took her up the tower, looking down the city, she didnt know he was going to do it, one minute she's staring at the night light, and when she turned, he was kneeling, ring in hand, he said, "Will You Marry Me?" Here they are again, love bloomed, bore fruits, love hurt, left a crack in the door a cold evil wind drifted in, love faded Now love is back, with a vengeance, to reclaim that which should have never been hurt "Will You Marry Me again", he asked she looked at him again, memories of the boy she once loved, the man she came to love, the man she will always love, she said "Yes!" © 2012 MAH MEKOLLEAuthor's Note
