A Stage Play by maharrison

Verse 1:
Yes, you run through my mind
Into my dreams, saving me in nightmares
And suddenly the sun and moon
Fell down behind you
Tracing your every step
And replaying them

Verse 2:
Those pretties making funny faces
Everywhere I look
My head is an animal
Waiting to strike those invisible tigers that hold me down
Pouncing, waiting for weakness, then conquering

Hook:
I broke all the rules
I broke all the rules
I believed I could do it, and I did
So now I live happily
On the riverside

Chorus:
But at the end, my story has a twist
Maybe something I missed
Opening to the pages of a new story
One where we all start over
And it's gonna be a bestseller

Verse 3:
It's always hard to fly when someones holding you down
I spent all my life folded between pages in books
Be bold and open up your soul
To the authors out there writing biographies
And the feather pens are gonna make a statement

Bridge:
This is where our story ends
And we go our separate ways
When we're the headlines
In the cities, roaming the towns
Signing the books where our handprints lay
Friends make me strong
Books keep me alive
