In the night

You find me

I try to hide

But you are more clever

Your fingers slip

Around my throat

I try to fight

But you are more persistent

I feel sick

Suffocating

I try to breathe

But you are more thick than air

Cut

Ahh

Relief

But you take a new form

In the morning

The pain reminds me

Guilty

But you don’t stop there

Night comes

Again

I try to hide

But you are more clever
