Tinfoil Hat

Tinfoil Hat

A Poem by magicwhisper
"

You can run but you can't hide

"
Another sharp stab.
Another twist of the gut.
Another suspison something isn't right.

A gasp as the rose tinted glasses slip,
A intake if breath,
Another tear burns as it escapes and the glasses slip further.

The truth Emerges

Gone is the gleaming crown placed delicately on his head.
In its place a poorly constructed tinfoil hat tossed on his head.
With not a care in the world, even a smirk on his lips.
His face no longer angelic and proud is now twisted as in pain.

Her glasses thrown off in disgust, she reels in shock at the full picture as he tries to hide.
He is smothered, covered, dripping in vast black webs of lies.
Thick choking, addictive as more spew from his mouth, trying to tangle her as it traps him deeper in.
She just seamlessly brushes them aside then stamps them to the ground.
He is dancing with change, playing with someone's mind, praying they get tangled in the Web of his own lies.

Suddenly he sees her, no more glasses so no more hiding.
The shock it registers her stops on a trance.

She looks down and brushes the cobwebs away that he has spewed on her.
She touches her head, damn right her crown is still there.
She stands up tall and straightens her crown in her head.
It sits so proudly on her head, it is strong, it even twinkles with the sun.

He panicks, he scrapers in fear his tail in between his legs and all. He has been found out, he has been caught, the truth has been told which is all that he will ever be;

Is that of a cowarding fool in a ridiculous tinfoil hat.
