Music

Listening to music, an idea popped into mind, here it is.

I can be angry, mad, and jealous

But when I turn on music

I’m happy and joyful

And so full of life.

 

The artist transports me to another world

Another dimension

Where homework doesn’t exist

Where all the problems I have

Don’t matter

 

I don’t worry at all

About the material things,

When my favorite artist

Is blasting out of my stereo.

When my favorite music

Is in the air

 

Music is not only

Notes and words

It’s an escape from life

An escape

From all the crap going on.

 

And for a moment,

You live every lyric

And every note memorizes you

 

Music is my life

My world

My everything besides God

And I can’t live without it
