Stained Misery

Stained Misery

A Poem by Galldora King

As she watched the world go by

All the people she would never see again

The person she would spend rest of her life with

She thought of all the useless banter

How it was so hard to say something so simple

Sometimes she wondered if her thoughts

...from afar were just as detailed as up close

And as she wept tears of serene that were not to be called hers

But of the countless people she loved

Marriage was such a thing that her beautiful womb wished for

It seemed like a blissful dream, that in a blink of an eye

Would become hers for ever

or linger in her pupil till times last stroke struck twelve.
