Letting him go

Letting him go

A Poem by Maggie Stromberg
"

Working to let go of someone is harder than I thought...

"

I’m trying to learn how to let go,

Which is good, cause you’ll never know.

I just need room to grow,

If only I didn’t love you so…

I know I’ve been hanging on too long,

People tell me my heart is wrong.

I say too little for my own liking,

So instead I’ll take up biking

Teach me how to say goodbye…

I don’t wanna ruin your happiness…
I’m just filled with happiness
when I’m with you.
But the weight on my chest
is too much to bare, so I got
to learn how to say goodbye to you
I have other things to focus on
it will just take a little time
Don’t you worry there my honey,
I won’t shed a single tear
You just won’t ever be my buddy.
Without you in my life, there’s an emptiness in my heart. I know that my Lord can fill that void, but I miss you. I know I should be fine without you, but it’ll just take more time and prayer. Lord, give me strength. Your grace is enough.
