Why Do I Feel This Way?

Why Do I Feel This Way?

A Poem by And She Sings

Do you know that feeling?

That feeling you get when your driving

You get the strangest urge to drive

Into oncoming traffic.

Not to cause other people harm

But to harm yourself.

That's just me? Well you don't say...

There's a bed in the hospital

It's waiting for me, calling for me.

When I look down at the water

From the top of a bridge,

I think about which way to fall

That won't kill me, but hurt me

Just enough for someone to check on me.

For someone to see if I am OK.

If you looked closer, you would see how OK I'm not.

If you looked me in the eyes just once, you could see that

I've already fallen from the bridge.

I've already driven into the traffic.

It's time now to check on me.

Please.
