Love Notes from God

Love Notes from God

A Poem by maggie42
"

for my daughter

"

She looks into that secret message,
" You are a woman now. "
Coagulations of school marker red
upon ledger paper white, poured.
Folding up her love letter
from God, she throws it away.
Because humanity has taught her
it's not lady~like to pass notes
to the rest of the class.

I am left with an uneasy feeling here...
maybe she wasn't ready
or wasn't the one to make the choice.
this is well written
as I am left with that Don't talk about it feeling.

This is so... poetic. I really can't think of a better way to describe it. It's got really cleverly placed line breaks, the language that you use is a little complex, but not so much that it bars understanding, and the meditative tone that you set is really incredible. This is wonderful. Bravo.
