Rose

Rose

A Poem by magenta24uk
"

Hold on tight

"

Rose

When you find your rose

Hold it close

Grasp its beauty

The thorns may prick

You may bleed

The stem may bend

But keep your grip

Don’t let go come what may

As time goes on the petals fade

The red of vigour disappears

 The tainted loss will loom

Running down your hard clasped hand

To mix with flowing wounds

I wrote a little review for a fellow writer and said to hold on and not to worry about the thorns. That inspired this. I hope you like it.
