A Poem by septlila
"

not sure this is a poem but I wrote this today

"

You know how in movies there is that scene when you find out some life altering news

And there is an actor who falls to their knees screaming and crying

There is always some emotionally tragic music to fill in the backgrounds

In real life, you don't get the music to fill in the cracks

When a 6-year-old finds out her dad died there isn't a scene cut

There is no music to drown out her nausea

Just the static of the ever still air cracking in her ears

I didn't win an oscar for my performance

Just a lifetime of trauma

Your closing lines are so sad. (I didn't win an Oscar for my performance Just a lifetime of trauma) Good expressive writing. ~Sharon
