nick cave isn't a bad seedA Poem by Mae Beeyou tell me.
i don't think anyone can taste this
s**t sucked deep down in my teeth. there hasn't been much truth in the past months. just me talking about things that are true and ignoring things that arn't. just walking around them like you walk around dog poop and old people. the boys are fine, they give their thanks. they're sad they couldn't make it but they had killing to do and tears to wash out of their clothes. Sometimes they think of you when they are up on the rooftops pulling down the stars and burning holes in their clothes. just making it breezy. just taking it easy. i take out my sober smile and dust it off. its been a while since i've worn it. and im happy to see that it still fits. the sun is making the grass grow. and i'm wearing short sleeve shirts and my roots are starting to show their lighter colours. my fingers hurt from trying to dig into the earth. i just want her to know im warm but i won't be forever. i want her to feel me when im pleasurable. i have a telescope and a heart shaped locket. im not looking into the sky or in windows. im just looking in the furture. i can see your jeans and your shirt. your vans and your fingers. you're looking like the sky in the afternoon with the sun bursting, oh there's nothing that could take that light away. at night i tuck myself in with this telescope. sleeping with our future and you're looking so bright. © 2008 Mae Bee |
