What Could Remain ?

What Could Remain ?

A Poem by Michael Wright
"

What happens when you listen to Slayer while writing.... m/

"

Society has dug their own hole

Let it riot and decay!

With these “God” fearing children

What a awaking they will have

Their bones buried deep in soil

Flames engulfing their souls

The submissive shall inherit nothing!

Those who have the courage to stand

Those are the ones who will remain

Surviving they evils of all men

Trusting the weapon deep into man kinds soul

We were never made to survive

What will be called to defend?

Who will remain to defend them all?

The sand and dust would consume all of us

In the end it will all be gone, nothing to remain

Greed and callousness has bought this end.

A path we see and show no stopping

The ending will be the final reward....

Michael: Jumped right into it, that metal will do it - all the way to judgment day. And you're correct, What Could Remain? What imagery you developed in this great poem. You have talent ....chipping away everyday, all that heartache and despair, where we are born, the children suffer everyday. It's a very good poem. Thanks...Dale

Nice poem.I liked the phrase 'these god fearing children'.People should be GOD loving and not GOD fearing.
And very well said -Greed and callousness has bought this end.
