Mended Whole

Mended Whole

A Poem by Michael Wright

I am no longer whole man

I have stayed far too long

I should have done many things

The chance was lost day after day

This love was crushed and mangled

Never a second thought given

That second chance Never seen

Aimlessly I walked away again

Time and time again, Pushed away

I travel in my own cage

as if it were my own prison

Cold and heartless I was rejected

Never seeing light nor darkness

Another false love accounted for

The mending of the man,

mending of the soul,

mending of the Heart!

The mending can now begin!

Once more this man shall be whole.

Can sense a desperation of sorts in the writer.... The poem delivers that and more of that theme. Good job!

Thank you - desperation can spur many emotions that should be expressed

So very right...and Poetry is the perfect outlet. nice to meet you Michael.
"I travel in my own cage" this made me think of circus animals in the old train cars. All in all very good.

Thank you for the review. That line is similar to "Created my own Prison"
