The Iron Dragon

The Iron Dragon

A Poem by Charley
"

... I don't really know what this is about... *Updated!* now with less errors

"

A fresh metallic scent ambush;

Groaning, twisting alloy structure.

Waves of solder grooves

Meander across the

Beast's magnetic hide.

A bronze and platinum finish

Splatter painted with our

Gold ideas and

Silver thoughts.

Burning cold to the touch;

Vast sheets of glistening

Iron cover the mental Dragon,

Invoking solitary thoughts.

Jaws fall open;

Spewing icy flames,

Paving the way for

Lost and found dreams.

this gave me an image of a twisting metal dragon but also of a metaphor for the things people say and a burning loneliness...or maybe it's just late and my mind is racing...either way, enjoyed this.

I love writing stories. I often have ideas, but they don't all get onto paper. Most of my stories remain unfinished, but I'm hoping to change that. *update* November 2015 I wrote a whole novel.. more..
