Coloring Books and Crayola Scented hands
Allowing us to use our imaginations; within limits of course.
Limits don’t really stop us though. I like to color outside the lines.
Lines are for squares [and other geometric shapes]
Ubiquitous color!
Mom saw me color on the walls. Uh-oh.

Keeling over after cleaning the mess
Everything aches. Cookies should help!
Another cookie? Of course! Omnomnom.
Nap time!
Even while we dream, we dream of pictures.
You photograph, and I color them in.

Author's Note

madimonstermassh
One day I asked people if they'd like me to make an acrostic out of their name. I decided not to make them typical acrostic poems, but to turn them into poetry/short stories, starting each line with the first letter of their names, without knowing anything about the person or having any prior interaction with them.
I actually kind of enjoyed the result.
