Full Moon

Full Moon

A Chapter by madhuri
"

Love so powerful that you cannot feel the distance. Love without pain.

"
She was waiting for just one glimpse of the moon, as she did every night on her balcony.

It was supposed to be a full moon.

She could see it, but the moon was hiding behind the trees, teasing her, tempting her.

She looked up at the sky, it looked as if the clouds were rushing, flowing towards the moon, eager to hide it from her.

The entire Universe was conspiring to keep her away from her love, to keep her away from sending her love to him through the moon.

The wind blew her raven black long hair, she closed her eyes, she felt every sensation, every breeze, heard every rustle of the leaves, every beat that her heart made.

She felt nervous, anxious, felt like flying, she felt LOVE, and it overwhelmed her.

She would reach a trance-like state, never thinking of her surroundings.

When she opened her eyes, the moon had risen. She calculated by the position of the moon that an hour had passed.

Her beautiful almond shaped, honey colored eyes sparkled and widened as she saw the moon, her round face, as white as milk, glowed under the radiance of the moonlight, her flushed cheeks calmed down as did her heartbeat.

She felt complete, secure and happy.

She is a girl every boy and every man desired. A girl to whose will even the God's would bend,  a girl if seen at this moment by any man would die of frustration of seeing her and not having her.

A girl who had given her soul to the one person she could never have, and could never live without.

He was her God, her savior, her mind, her heart, her good and bad, her purity, her filth, her hate, but most of all her Love.

The love of this life, and other lives that she had lived and will live.

She knew that she would never be able to have him, not in the traditional sense. Not in the eyes of the world.

It didn't matter to her. For her, she already had him. Every breath, every step she took, everything was for him. her life was at his feet. That is where she lived, that is where she found the meaning of life.

She was his devotee, and there was no love more pure and true than hers.

He told her a long time ago, "Look at the moon, I will be looking at it too. No matter what distance, what situation, we will always be so close to each other. Talk to me, and I will talk to you."

She poured out her heart, the sparkle in her eyes were due to the tears that she had held back. Tears were never of despair, but of happiness, of ecstasy.

For when she looked at the moon, she would never see the glistening light or the round shape, she would see the face of her love in it.

Anyone who knew her, knew him. They knew of their inseparable love. And any person who would be attracted to their angelic beauty would take one look in their eyes and realize there wasn't place for anyone else in their hearts.

But what love is fulfilled without obstacles? Without the test of time, will and faith? If the God's would bend to her beauty, how would the demon's stay away?

Every love story has a villain, and their extraordinary love had a villain too strong.

I love the concept and the way you've started the story. I would have loved to have read the entire story, but I can understand wanting to test the waters :) You have a wonderful way of describing things and emotions. I like that.
