thunderblossom

A Poem by Matthew Young

stuck out
sitting on the
line like lapis
blue broken bells
chime the city
clock counting change
in a corner cafe
woosh goes the
wind riding a wave
of ocean outstretched
pure penetrating
yet peaceful they stare
strangers snug in sin
silly grins grinding
gaudy glares of
mean eyes etching
dance on the drapes
long flowing going
all velvety to
the floor where
worlds unborn wait
wonder wish of
new life living
already never dead
new children laughing
dogs barking trees
climbing sky branches
protruding into
crayons construction
paper peaceluv
glue-sticks slide
slowly along seams
of courdory suspenders
her favorite pair
watching tv or
looking at the future
never forgetting
the past static
crackles over morning
egg yolk sizzling
'ssssssssssssss' burnt
bacon bubbling fat
buttery biscuits orange
juice blues milk music
and so many kisses hearts
glowing such light love
everything good can't
be described with words
still now still life
dreams unseen by her
only me only me
and no one else
no one else
