To Daunt

To Daunt

A Poem by Madeline

In the very wake of prominence,
of opportunity,
Life seems to do nothing--
But to daunt.
Unconscious joys would flood, rainwater on an already satiated field.
Now time pleads for rain, but none is given.
It seems life offers little perception,
Little guidance I used to receive without looking.

"Unconscious joys would flood, rainwater on an already satiated field."

A most beautifully painted picture, a moment frozen in time, nailed on a cross for us to admire. I appreciate your ability to communicate, it is unique.

You are welcome...:)......................
Your diction and "voice" indeed make this poem exceptional, plus I like poems that are brief and to the point. Outstanding!

Thank you! I have been working on brevity, it's been a theme for me for a while. Glad you liked it
Your diction incites my inner philosopher.. I want to read infinitely more.
